to raise intensive care awareness during the
Barcelona ESICM congress. Several concurrent
programmes were undertaken to help connect the
meaning of LIFE-PRIORITY and ESICM with the people of
Barcelona and Europe.
The ESICM Society collected more than 350 letters from
ICU patients and families throughout Europe. a selection
of these touching stories and letters were displayed in the
congress centre while others were printed onto 30,000
booklets and 20,000 postcards and then distributed all
around the city of Barcelona.
offered CPr training to citizens. Six hundred people
walked away with the knowledge of how to save a life.
allowing the citizens of Barcelona to learn in only thirty
minutes the many ways the average person can save lives.
