European Première of the new Fred Hersch Concert: My coma dreams
“My Coma dreams” is based on eight dreams and nightmares experienced by the jazz composer/pianist Fred Hersch when he survived a two-month coma in the summer of 2008. His dream stories have been shaped into a continuous narrative by writer / director Herschel Garfein (Elmer Gantry, the opera) which illuminates an extraordinary journey to the dividing line between life and death. The concert will take place in the beautiful DZ-Bank building designed by Frank O. Gehry, located on the world-famous Pariser Platz. > Learn more about Fred Hersch and “My Coma Dreams”
Letters for LIFE-PRIORITYLast year, ESICM collected more than 400 letters from ICU patients and families worldwide. Whereas a selection of these touching stories will be printed into booklets and postcards to be distributed throughout the city of Berlin, we have decided to launch a new effort to collect letters and testimonies. Send yours and help create the biggest patients community ready to speak up for Intensive Care Medicine. Support the LIFE-PRIORITY Events and help us to save lives!
